Ok, so it has been a while.... - 09/15/2008
We actually had a SQL server meltdown a few months back, and although I did have regular backups, we lost the drive completely...So we cannot recover the blog entries for the site. That said, we have updated the images over the past few months though not as frequently as I would like. I will change this in the coming months and friends and family will see more pics to come...

The Easter Bunny Came to Visit! - 04/16/2006
The Easter Bunny came and laid eggs all throughout our back yard. The kids went around and collected all the eggs. When they opened them the eggs were filled with Dark Chocolate and money! Chris hooked me up with the info that EWF was gonna be playing in Baltimore a couple of weeks ago. Well as many of you know, EWF is my all time favorite band, so we couldn't pass up the opportunity to see them live in concert. Is was awesome! This winter's first snow, is in February? - 02/12/2006
Well, not really. We did get a little snow one time in December, but it was just a couple of flakes. This winter has been extremely mild, with average temps of 65 degrees over the past months. BAM! Talk about good. Chris came over Saturday and brought some t-bones to grill...mmm mmm. They were excellent. Say Hello To The Road - 05/27/2005
Yes. We finally have the Myrick-mobile. This sweet ship wil take us where no other vehicle has taken us before...and in luxury I might add. The minivan is nice. It is a used 2003 Chrysler Town & Country. This vehicle was nicely taken care of, the interior is in excellent shape and it has 32,000 miles. Happy Birthday Xavier! - 07/25/2004
Xavier turned 2 years old today! Wow, it seems like yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. Felix and Mary came down from Ohio to celebrate Xavier's birthday with us. We made a double-layered dark chocolate fudge cake with dark chocolate icing, NICE! Xavier received some cool presents. ABBA Concert - 07/13/2004
Chris bought tickets to a great concert, ABBA! Well, it wasn't the real group, but the cover band was excellent. The performers looked and sounded just like the real group! We Grow a New Front Lawn - 07/04/2004
We were requested to take pictures of the front yard. If you can remember we had two HUGE trees and english ivy in the front yard. This was an impossible situation as far as growing grass was concerned, not to mention the hazards of the trees falling on the house. We removed the trees last fall and I started the work on growing grass just a few months ago. Check ou the progress in the Family section under July 2004. (NOTE: It had rained the day I took the picture of the new grassy front yard)

We took a small trip to Maryland's original capitol city, “St. Mary's City”. It was first settled in 1634 for the stand of freedom of religion. At the site we rented a wagon for Xavier and got to take an exciting tour of a 17th century ship, “The Dove”. Check out the pictures in the Family section under May 2004.

Get ready, Brood X is coming, and I don't mean Xavier - 05/07/2004
This May billions of black, shrimp-size bugs with transparent wings and beady red eyes will carpet trees in the U.S. from the eastern seaboard west through Indiana and south to Tennessee. By the end of June they'll be gone, not to be heard from or seen again for 17 years. Many people view them with horror or as an aberration and don't appreciate that they are a natural part of our eastern forests. The bugs belong to the largest group, or brood, of periodical cicadas-insects that spend most of their lives as nymphs, burrowed underground and sucking sap from tree roots. They emerge once every 17 years, transform into adults, do the business of reproduction, and then die. Last night we captured a few pictures of the emerging cicadas nymphs. Pretty cool! Mamma Mia! - 12/19/2003
